The practical default: casino garages
The Boardwalk casino corridor is dense with structured parking, and the South Carolina Avenue venues sit inside that corridor. Garage rates and overnight policies vary by property and change seasonally, so check the rate at the barrier rather than relying on what a website said last year.
Casino garages are also the best-lit and most monitored option at 4:00 AM, which is worth more than saving a few dollars on a street space.
Street parking
Metered street parking exists throughout the Boardwalk grid, but enforcement hours, resident restrictions and event-day rules make it a poor choice for a long night. If you are staying past 2:00 AM, a garage is the lower-risk option.
The 4:00 AM problem
Weekend closing times in this part of the city run to 4:00 AM and, at some venues, 6:00 AM. Anyone who has been drinking should not be collecting a car at all — that is the whole reason the jitney and rideshare sections of this site exist.
If your group is drinking, leave the car at the hotel and treat parking as a non-issue. It is cheaper than a bad decision by an order of magnitude.
Driving in from outside the city
Venues off the Route 30 / Absecon Boulevard corridor are drive-to by design and sit outside the walkable Boardwalk grid. If that is your plan, a designated driver stops being optional.
