Pick your base first: Boardwalk or Marina
This decision determines your entire night. Base on the Boardwalk and the South Carolina Avenue adult venues are a walk, which means no rideshare coordination for eight people at closing time. Base in the Marina District at Borgata, Harrah's or Golden Nugget and you get the stronger casino nightlife but every adult venue becomes a vehicle trip in both directions.
For groups over six, the Boardwalk base is usually the lower-friction choice purely on transport.
Sequence the night, don't improvise it
Atlantic City nightlife runs late. A group that eats at 7:00 PM and heads straight out will spend two hours in a half-empty room. The reliable sequence is dinner, then casino floor or a bar, then the adult venue after 10:00 or 11:00 PM, which is also when the venues that publish hours have been open long enough to be worth visiting.

Group budgeting
Costs scale badly for groups because cover is per head while VIP rooms and minimums are per group and get negotiated in the moment. No Atlantic City venue publishes any of these figures, so the only defence is a cap agreed in advance and carried in cash.
Split the fixed costs — accommodation, transport, any reserved table — before the trip. Leaving them to be settled afterwards is how bachelor parties end friendships.
Door policy for groups
Doors assess the group as a unit. One visibly drunk member can lose entry for everyone, and in a casino town where the night starts on a gaming floor that is a genuine risk rather than a theoretical one. Costumes, sashes and matching novelty shirts also draw attention; if entry matters more than the photos, skip them.
The rest of the weekend
Adult venues are one evening, not a weekend. The Boardwalk, the beach, casino gaming, boxing and concert events at the arenas, and the restaurant scene at Borgata and Ocean fill the rest. Plan at least one thing everyone can do hungover.
