Here is the honest headline: as of our last check, not one Atlantic City venue we track publishes a cover charge, a drink price or a private-entertainment price anywhere we can verify. This page explains what that means for your budget instead of pretending otherwise.

What you can plan for
The cost structure, even without the numbers
You can't know the amounts in advance, but you can know exactly which line items exist. That's most of what budgeting requires.
Door cover
Charged per person, typically higher on Friday and Saturday and on holiday weekends. Some venues waive or reduce it early in the night. None of the Atlantic City venues we track post the amount, so treat it as an unknown fixed cost per head.
BYOB setups, not a bar tab
At a BYOB venue there is no bar tab because there is no bar. Instead you buy your own bottle beforehand and the venue may charge for mixers, ice, cups or a setup fee. This shifts spend from the club to the liquor store, but it is not automatically cheaper.
Full-bar drink prices
At a liquor-licensed venue you're paying Atlantic City nightlife drink prices, which move with the season and the night. Club Paradise is the one venue in our directory that states it operates a full bar.
Private entertainment
Priced per song or per time block, paid to the entertainer, and separate from anything you paid at the door. No venue we track publishes a rate.
VIP rooms and minimums
Usually a time-based room charge or a spend minimum, often quoted only when you ask. If your group is considering VIP, ask for the total before agreeing, not the hourly.
Cash, ATMs and tipping
Adult venues commonly run in-house ATMs with fees well above a bank's. Arriving with your budget already in cash both avoids those fees and hard-caps your spend, which is the practical reason regulars do it.
Groups
Bachelor and bachelorette party budgeting
Group costs scale worse than people expect, because cover is per head while VIP and bottle minimums are per group and get negotiated on the spot by whoever is least sober. The two things that consistently prevent an argument the next morning: agree a per-person cap before you leave the hotel, and nominate one person to handle any VIP negotiation.
Call ahead for groups larger than about six. None of the venues we track publish group policies, so a phone call is the only way to find out whether they'll seat you together, whether there's a minimum, and whether a reservation is even possible.
