Location
Not everything in the region is in Atlantic City. A handful of venues sit on the road corridors outside the Boardwalk grid, and they are drive-to by design.
The Route 30 / Absecon Boulevard corridor is the main approach into Atlantic City from the mainland, and at least one operating venue sits along it. These places are built around a parking lot rather than foot traffic, which changes both the transport question and the drinking question for your group.
Further out into South Jersey the picture gets thinner and harder to verify. Several venues that appear in aggregator directories have no working website and no confirmable current hours — we list them with their status marked unconfirmed rather than dropping or endorsing them.
If you are driving out of the city for a venue, call first. A wasted 30-minute drive to a dark building is the most common outcome of trusting a directory listing that nobody has checked in three years.

A Pleasantville club on East Delilah Road, five minutes by car from the marina-district casinos and the only venue in this guide that states it runs a full bar. It is outside Atlantic City proper.
