The venues that publish hours extend Friday and Saturday closing to as late as 6:00 AM, against 4:00 AM midweek. That gives you a genuinely long night, and it is the strongest argument for arriving after 11:00 PM rather than at 9:00.
The closing-time crunch
Every venue in the Boardwalk cluster empties into the same few blocks at the same time. Rideshare surges, and the wait is longest exactly where demand is densest. Walking a few blocks before requesting a car is the standard workaround; the jitney network runs 24 hours and does not surge.
Groups and events
Weekend doors are stricter with large groups because they have the volume to be. Call ahead for six or more, keep the group sober enough to clear a door assessment, and skip the novelty costumes if entry matters more than the photos.
